Description Rik De Busser 2008-07-04 10:54:22 UTC
Fatal error: Call to undefined method Title::newfromrow() in C:\WOS\www\mediawiki\extensions\CategoryTree\CategoryTreeFunctions.php on line 479

Appears on my fresh MediaWiki homepage when

{{#categorytree:All_categories|mode=pages}}

when All_categories is the root category and there is at least one subcategory. Error does not occur when building category tree from any of the subcategories.

I assume this is a version mismatch issue.

The latest version of CategoryTree requires the *latest* version of MediaWiki, i.e. current 1.13alpha from svn (developer's version, not a release!)

So, if you are running MediaWiki 1.12 (latest stable), select 1.12.x on http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Special:ExtensionDistributor/CategoryTree to get a version of CategoryTree that works with your installation.

I'll close this for now, feel free to reopen it if the problem persists when using compatible versions of MediaWiki and CategoryTree.
