I uploaded a djvu file that was missing a page. After using it for a few weeks, I noticed the error, and uploaded a corrected version. Fresh pages could be viewed from the new version okay, so the new version was definitely sound. But pages previously cached under the old upload continued to be served, so I purged. After purging, I was unable to induce Mediawiki to display any image from that file. The thumbnail request URLs read "Error creating thumbnail: No path supplied in thumbnail object". A fresh purge does not solve the problem; nor does reverting between versions. Re-uploading the file ''does'' solve the problem, but at 18Mb (for this file) that is a rather impracticable workaround. The file referred to above, which has now been re-uploaded, is [[:Commons:Image:Transactions of the Linnean Society of London, Volume 10 Part 1.djvu]]. To check that this is not an isolated problem, I also purged [[Commons:Image:Coloured Figures of English Fungi or Mushrooms.djvu]] too, and now Mediawiki can't thumb that file either. This currently remains broken awaiting your inspection.
Assign to developer of DjVuImage.php (brion) for further processing.
I'm not currently seeing error messages, just... no thumbing. something seems funky...
This seems to have been resolved in the meantime, probably by a general fixup of the deployments. djvudump (needed to get file metadata on upload or purge) appears to be installed on all Apaches, and the file linked above now works after another purge.
