Description Adam Brookes 2009-03-17 11:10:17 UTC
If a file which has been moved is moved for a second time, whilst the double redirect of the file information page functions, the double redirect of the original filename doesn't work so that name can no longer be used.

Ideally, where an image is moved more than once, the original filename should continue to function, consistent with the original filename information page.

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Adambro/test for an example of this. The inclusion of the image using its original name (File:IMG 3421.JPG) no longer works but the link to the name on Commons redirects to the newest name.

I don't think we allow double redirects to work for any page, and that includes file description pages. I don't really see why we should allow file double redirects to work either.
