Description ido.setter@kaltura.com 2009-05-31 10:25:21 UTC
The "waiting for video" label doesn't appear when the video is loaded - you get only a black screen.\

After clicking on play in the test page, I get a black screen for while the video is loading

Happens in:

IE7 with Java
IE7 with VLC

FF 3.0 with Java
FF 3.5b4 with Java
FF 3.5b4 with Native

also in

FF 3.0.10 with generic ogg plug in on linux

hmm.... yea.. this would require some hacking... presently we just rewrite directly to the visible dom. This means we get a plug-in specific loading screen (ie sun java loading or VLC "loading" on black backgournd) ... If we want to be ~very~ fancy we could load things in non-visible DOM element then swap it in once we start getting time info... do we want to setup that hack? ... to me it seems there are higher priority bugs.

MetaVidWiki work has moved to TimedMediaHandler ... use that instead.
