Description Maria Elena Chavez 2009-07-23 19:20:07 UTC
Hi Cary,

We, the Affective Meta Tutor research group from Arizona State University, are using Wikimedia to support our research work.

We want to create a mailing list to our internal use, could you help us with this?

I have some confusion regarding the information you are requesting in order to create the mailing list.

1) requested last name: Did you mean by this, my last email? if so, my last name is Chavez.

2) reasoning/explanation of purpose (and community consensus, if applicable). As I mention before we are using Wikimedia to support and document our reasearch group. As part of our communication tools we require an mailing list, in this case it should be a private (only for our members) list.

3) initial list admin address. Could you help me with this? I do not understand what do you mean by that.

Best regards,

Maria Elena Chavez

Resolving this as WONTFIX. Wikimedia mailing lists are not intended for this type of activity. You're of course free to set up your own personal mailing list elsewhere. You may want to try talking with ASU's tech staff, who may be able to assist you.

If they can't help, there's always http://groups.yahoo.com/ and http://groups.google.com/
