If you go to the following URL
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Jewish_Encyclopedia_topics/L1

and then look at the two items below, you will discover that they both link to the same page even though they refer to two totally unrelated people who happen to have the same name.

I would very much like to read the second article, but have no way to retrieve it.

This is not a MediaWiki bug, the person who wrote the page can use [[Target|displayed text]] to link to the two article with the same text.
