Description emijrp 2010-07-01 23:30:14 UTC
Hi;

Adding a button called "Comparing (diff only)" like the current "Comparing selected revisions" (see [1]) it would be useful and faster for history checkers. The button must link to &diffonly=1 comparison. This avoid loading (and rendering?) the whole page, what is slow for large pages.

Regards,
emijrp

We should be able to solve this in a more elegant way by using the approach described in bug 25289. Rather than adding more options in the UI, we can merely make the diff display before the old revision is done loading, and then load the old revision in due time.

emijrp, you can change your preferences to have your diffs be diff only.
Comment 3 John Mark Vandenberg 2011-04-28 09:12:20 UTC
This could be built as a gadget.

emijrp, do you still want this? Are the suggestions in comments 2 and 3 sufficient, or do you want a core change for this?

Hello PiRSquared, yes, the suggestions are enough. You can close this bug. Thanks.
