I uploaded a SVG draw on Commons http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:CarcassonneTiles.svg but seems I cannot show it in Wikipedia. The draw is small than 1000 px, so the problem is not related to bug: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=24824
The svg in question only contains a reference to a png file on your computer (specifically: file:///home/efa/docs/Disegni/inkscape_pasted_image_20100821_181449.png ). For security reasons uploaded svg's are not rendered with remote images (you need to embed linked images using data urls), but even ignoring that, it still wouldn't work as file:///home/efa/docs/Disegni/inkscape_pasted_image_20100821_181449.png is not network accessible. closing as invalid.
I created the draw in OpenOffice draw, then as I know OpenOffice export to SVG is broken, I copy&pasted the vectorial object to Inkscape. Last I saved in SVG with Inkscape. I never created the "inkscape_pasted_image_20100821_181449.png" raster file, but now there is one in my directory. Sure Inkscape created it in the copy&paste phase. What is the right method to get a working SVG file?
