Created attachment 8457 [details] User account not registered message On a user page of user that is not registered, there is a red message - User account "nick" is not registered. However, if someone creates that user page, then this message disappears - even if the user account has NOT been created. Please see attached images of RandomUser account on testwiki, the user account has *not* been created. Thanks, Thehelpfulone

If the page exists, then the page gets shown -- end of story. If the page doesn't exist, then fallback text is shown, telling you that it doesn't exist. If the page is a user page or user talk page, then the empty page text is prefaced with a note that the user doesn't exist (if no user exists) or is blocked (if exists and is blocked). You may also see other info, such as deletion logs for the page if the page previously existed but was deleted. Note that there are other ways to tell that there's no user -- such as no user tools links being shown. It could indeed be nice to make it more explicit when an existing page in user: namespace isn't clearly attached to any user account.
Suppose that the page for Foo had been created with the content: "User:Foo was the nickname of Foobar from January to March 2001. His userpage is now at User:Foobar" Why would you need another message stating that it doesn't exist?
Yeah dropping this issue per Platinodes' reasoning.
