Wrong wikitext inserted if the username contains markup such as: User:Foo''Bar

Actually, I don't think that rev affected the display of the username. However, I can't reproduce the problem myself. Can you describe the problem more specifically? What exactly do you mean by "wrong wikitext"? I tried using the username Foo''Bar as you suggested, but it seems to work fine for me.

I meant the username that was getting the barnstar, not the one giving it.

Either way, it seems to work for me. Can you describe the problem more specifically?

The problem occurs when using a message containing $7 (username of the recipient), which none of the current messages do, and then sending it to a user with such a username. Easy fix, see r90964.
