Description p858snake 2011-05-26 14:43:06 UTC
It would be nice if system messages (Mediawiki: NS) were automatically wrapped in a container (span) that had the class name automagically set as the message name.

This would make finding out what messages are being displayed so much easier and easier for end users to customize (and/or hide) them as well.
Comment 1 Niklas Laxström 2011-05-27 05:34:49 UTC
Unrealistic. Too many messages don't appear in such context that html can be used. Could be done for a subset but even then we would run issues with block vs. inline messages.

WONTFIX per comment 1.

To solve the original problem, see bug 15802.
