I fixed the issue in r88900, although it might not be the best fix. Markus, can you review and see if it's done in a sane way?

I have simplified your fix a bit, and also fixed another such issue a few lines later. The special page now should work again. I have not updated sandbox.semantic-mediawiki.org yet.
