Heya Robin, I can create the mailing list, but are we sure one's needed? Wouldn't it be easier to just turn langcom-l into a moderated list and only remove the moderation flag from the committee members? We should err on the side of fewer lists when possible.
Comment 2 Robin Pepermans (SPQRobin) 2011-06-04 20:57:17 UTC
The current langcom-l is private and will be kept private. We intend to forward mails automatically to langcom-observers which would have archives disabled.
So the observers receive our mails but can't reply to them and can't read our archives.
With a moderated list, they would be able to read our private archives, as far as I know.
Or do you know an easier way to do this?

No, if that's what you guys were going for then that's the best way.

Mailing list "langcom-observers" created and password sent to Robin, Jon, and Jess.e
