When a developer send a patch, it might need to amend it with other patches. Those subsequent patches are tracked using the follow-up feature which let us chain the revisions. It might be hard to track the (grand-)+childs of a revision. Regrouping them under a given name would ease code review and merging.

Closing my enhancement request: although it would be great to have, it is worthless to implements since we are moving to git/gerrit.
