Description Tomlong54210 2011-06-11 19:55:54 UTC
I have enabled file uploads on my wiki, but I would also like to upload compressed archives of a certain nature. I understand that allowing user's to upload can be dangerous, so I would like to create a user group/right for uploading .7z, .rar and .zip files.

I think this is the same thing that Erik proposed on Commons: <http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Restricted_uploads>
Comment 2 Tomlong54210 2011-06-14 01:28:49 UTC
That would work I think. Thanks for replying. I'll try to close this then.

I'm not sure if this bug needs to be closed just because Erik proposed the same thing. I don't think there's another bug open about this issue, and it'd be good to have one on here for tracking purposes. :-)

(If someone disagrees, feel free to re-close.)
