Description Thor Malmjursson 2011-06-22 16:59:51 UTC
I'd like to request an enhancement to searches on parts of MW software, as noted in the bug title - what I'm essentially looking for, is the ability to search for users (either already registered or in Special:Log/newusers) whose usernames contain specific words.

This could be accomplished by using wildcard searches based on existing REGEX signs, for example - *sheep* to search for any users containing the word "sheep".

Other wildcards could have functionality within the searches too, it's purely to widen the scope of available searches when looking for specific things, such as socks (which I often do, patrolling the user creation log).

Thoughts and comments welcomed.
