Description Ian Baker 2011-07-07 23:38:40 UTC
On the final upload step, a description is required. Files can be successfully uploaded even when the description isn't supplied.

Works as expected in Chrome and Firefox. Fails in IE6/XP and IE8/Vista.

Duping up to bug #31125 which has some more information.

This is not a duplicate as far as I know - from my knowledge Jeroen made the description optional for WLM uploads. You should check with him whether it's really a dup or not.

Also, if I understand correctly, Ian just left the field empty and submitted the form. I did something more - I removed the description field from the form.

This problem also occurs with the source and description fields in the third party (not my own work) deed.

This sounds like what's happening in bug 32469 to Jeroen, and in a user testing video I was sent out to hunt down....IE probably does something funny to make jquery.data not work properly.
Comment 7 Mark Holmquist 2012-05-14 19:25:14 UTC
I tried in IE6 to reproduce this bug, but could not. Seems like it's no longer an issue. Please reopen with more details if possible.
