Description Brion Vibber 2011-07-21 18:53:26 UTC
Safari 5.1 (webkit version 534.50) is seen as a version that is "not needed for testing" by the current TestSwarm setup.

5.1 is the new current version in both 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and the brand-new Lion (10.7).
Comment 1 Brion Vibber 2011-08-16 19:35:39 UTC
This is still outstanding; the current default Mac OS X browser doesn't run on our automated tests, and fewer folks seem to be running the old version so it's just not getting run on Safari at all.
Comment 2 Antoine "hashar" Musso (WMF) 2011-08-16 19:37:05 UTC
Krinkle told me on IRC it was not really feasible on his heavily patched testswarm. Looks like he wants to focus on the new installation instead.
Comment 3 Brion Vibber 2011-08-16 20:16:05 UTC
Adding bug 29550 as a dependency; apparently the toolserver version is too hacked-up to update easily so all changes are waiting on a new installation.

submitted patch upstream as a comment to issue 87
Comment 6 Brion Vibber 2011-09-12 18:41:22 UTC
Still waiting on this to make it to our own test cluster -- currently we very often don't have anybody running Safari tests, as people don't tend to have old versions of Safari available.
Comment 7 Antoine "hashar" Musso (WMF) 2012-03-04 11:36:49 UTC
This was resolved on our infrastructure. 5.1 is even the only Safari browser we run test for.
