The message 'update_profile_nav' uses the format:
* Special:SpecialPage|Link text

The message is used as wfMsgForContent and the link text is hardcoded, which means it does not display text in the user language.

A solution could be to make it behave as the sidebar:
* Special:SpecialPage|message
where it uses the message if that exists, and otherwise shows it as hardcoded text.
