Description Tom Morris 2011-07-31 13:20:54 UTC
I'm using Firefox 5 on OS X with Pentadactyl, a Vim-style keyboard navigation plugin (trying to reduce mouse as much as possible use due to RSI pain).

It's not possible to rate a page using the keyboard.

In addition, if you tab into the "I am highly knowledgeable about this topic (optional)" checkbox and select it, you can then not unselect it using the keyboard.

I have recorded a two-minute video showing the latter problem. It is here (sorry for the M4V/H.264 rather than Ogg):

Have you enabled full keyboard navigation in Mac OS X's universal access settings? This is necessary for checkboxes etc to be selectable by keyboard on Mac OS X, and Firefox normally respects those system-wide settings.

Hmm, actually clicking checkboxes doesn't seem to set focus on them in Mac OS X.

On Firefox on other checkboxes I see the focus only when clicking on the attached *label*; clicking the box directly toggles but doesn't focus.

So this might actually be a (really awkward) but legit behavior.

It could possibly help to force focus onto an element at the top of the form though when you click in.

The extension homepage at [[mw:Extension:ArticleFeedback]] says
"This extension has been archived. This extension has not been maintained in some time, and no longer supports recent releases of MediaWiki.
The following other choices are still available: [[mw:Extension:ArticleFeedbackv5]]"

Furthermore, ArticleFeedback (version 4 or earlier) was removed from all Wikimedia wikis in https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/98074/

It is currently unlikely that there will be any further active development of ArticleFeedback (version 4 or earlier).
Closing this report as WONTFIX to reflect reality.
Please feel free to reopen this report in the future if anyone takes the responsibility for active development of ArticleFeedback (version 4 or earlier) again.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
