Description Tomasz Finc 2011-08-01 19:40:17 UTC
Were getting reports that Wikipedia V2.1 on iOS is crashing on basic usage.

--
1. iOS version 4.2.1
12 2nd generation iPod touch
3. Simply navigating to maybe 3 to 4 Wikipedia pages causes it to crash.
With the previous version of the app, it would only crash when trying to load very large images mainly.
--

And numerous others in the iTunes store.
Comment 1 Tomasz Finc 2011-08-01 20:20:50 UTC
Sadly there are no crash reports inside iTunes connect to give us more debugging detail yet.
Comment 2 Casey Brown 2011-08-01 22:53:42 UTC
Just FYI, I don't run into any crashes on iPhone 4 CDMA on v4.2.10. I clicked all the way to Philosophy without crashing. ;-)

New fixes just came in from Derk-Jan: https://github.com/wikimedia/wikipedia-iphone/commit/79accb5cc833f65327c7e7f239c97d00b7f37a3b

Were beta testing them now. If your up to help us then send me your UDID and I'll add you to the list.

Is this all done and over with? Did we ship the final version through the App Store and confirm it doesn't crash?
Comment 11 Patrick Reilly 2011-11-04 18:16:40 UTC
The final version is now in the App Store and it isn't crashing any longer.
