A wikipedia navbox template i contributed to was deleted. When i reviewed "my contibutions" i could not find any references to the numerous edits i had made to the deleted template. This has an orwellian feel, that the page never existed. It also obstructs tracking time spent or reviewing notes of changes made. Deleting a page should not remove anything from contribution histories of various contributers to deleted page. This would leave red links for deleted pages in the contribution history, but that is better than no record at all.
The contributions are moved to Special:DeletedContributions and are available for admins, at least.
That would be a fairly major change from the current expected behaviour. I do not think we should do this unless there is wide agreement its a good idea, or at least some usability studies suggesting its a good idea, etc. (There's also probably some difficulty in doing this efficiently given how deleted revision info is stored in a different table currently...) There's also some political issues with deleted revisions traditionally being secret, some of the arguments at bug 24941 apply. (If you think this is orwellian, you should see oversight ;) Anyways, I'm going to close this wontfix.
