It is impossible to editing a MediaWiki installation on mobile site.
Comment 1 Chad H. 2011-08-10 12:02:19 UTC
I know there's plans to do mobile editing /some day/ but it's not on the table for anytime soon. It's not an easy task to solve. Resolving LATER.

Re-opening. With our tentative roadmap at http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Mobile_Projects/Web_Features_%26_Roadmap were targeting Q1 2012 to start attacking this. It's all pending the work that Trevor and Brion are doing on the editor and parser.
Comment 3 Jon 2012-10-27 00:11:07 UTC
A form of editing is now possible in beta as of Change-Id: I34f8a97d31ae7cb0578c264d80c31d5782ae8c0f

We can iterate off this and at least gain data on how people use it
