Description Benjamin Chen 2011-08-19 16:24:06 UTC
Since last month, I sometimes receive the error message 'SessionID is invalid!!!' when trying to log into OTRS system. Sometimes I just need to try again, but if I'm unlucky on that day no matter what I tried, it just won't let me in.

I'm not using proxy or behind firewall, and I do not receive this error after logging in for some time - I get it on my first attempt to log in on an unlucky day.

Mark H, could you find someone in Ops to handle this one?

RT ticket: http://rt.wikimedia.org/Ticket/History.html?id=2014

Is the original reporter (Bencmq) still experiencing this problem?
Comment 3 Benjamin Chen 2011-11-21 04:03:59 UTC
It's been much better since October. I still encounter this, but maybe like once a week.

I wonder if mod_perl isn't regenerating the session when it expires (or gets corrupted from OTRS POV).

Doens't clearing the cookies for ticket.wikimedia.org fix it?

Ops did some work on this yesterday. Let me know if you see any change.

I have not encountered after that. Probably it is already fixed, so marked as RESOLVED FIXED.
