Could we get an upgrade so that you can choose when to nuke from? For example from August 22nd 2011 to August 23rd 2011? and also what namespaces to nuke (File: is what I'm thinking of; we had a contributor who had 1500 copyvios but otherwise good contribs)

Ah, you didn't want an upgrade so that the latest version would be deployed -- you wanted a new feature added.

Fixing classification.

Yeah - sorry I'm new to bugzilla :-)

Setting severity to enhancement. Not sure who maintains this extension, but doesn't look like it's actively developed right now. Keeping priority high though (which is correct within the scope of this extension, it should happen within the next major version, not any time soon in perspective of MediaWiki core development though)

As a being a Commons admin I would find this feature very useful, but right now it's not too bad. One simply has to deselect the checkboxes of things that shouldn't be nuked. Marking as easy. Only needs a <form> with a dropdown and a datepicker and mapping that into the select query.

The Nuke extension was originally designed to wipe out ("nuke") all of a user's contributions. This request is a bit outside of the extension's scope. It sounds as though there are legitimate use-cases for these features (NS selector, date selector), I'm just not sure about this bug yet.

I agree. Another way to solve this would be to write a little gadget that fetches page names created by a certain user in a certain namespace and/or timeframe (ApiRecentChanges supports that afaik) and feeds them to DeleteApi or SpecialNuke.

The interface to this gadget could be implemented on Special:Delete, Special:Nuke or on Special:Blankpage?action=mygadgetname with quicklinks from Special:Delete and Special:Nuke.

Closing feature request for Nuke-extension as WONTFIX. It's a welcome feature or gadget in another place though, perhaps ask in the Tech-village pump on enwiki or Meta in quest for a gadget artist ?
