Full error message is 

File:<NAME OF LAST FILE SUCCESSFULLY UPLOADED>: The file you uploaded seems to be empty. This might be due to a typo in the file name. Please check whether you really want to upload this file.

This occurs the number of times MultiUpload present as max concurrent Files (here set to 10) minus the number of uploads actually used (here 2, thus 8 times).

Just a reminder: the bug is still present in the current version of Mediawiki 1.18.1. Perhaps the extension should be removed from newer mediawiki versions?

The new MultiUpload extension that I checked in today doesn't have this bug.

(though it also requires 1.19+...)

Andre: I figured I'd wait to see if there's any negative fallout from the change.  I'll check back in about a week...
