Created attachment 8993 [details] patch for the bug extension intersection (DynamicPageList) needs a patch to add 'random' sort order. we have to apply the attachment patch for enalbe the 'random' sort order. more info: http://en.qi-hardware.com/wiki/Server_setup#MediaWiki
My main concern with this patch is that when combined with caching, it only randomly re-orders stuff on a cache purge, which isn't really what people want when they specify "random" (I think anyways) Although it would work for some use-cases.

Some randomizer would be a great tool in DPL, and I would prefer a full randomizer, which reshuffles not only the order of pre-selected results, but also the changes the selection of results itself every time the cache is reloaded. It would be very useful for our planned Czech Wikinews page (and I believe for others as well). So please, if anyone can, take a look at it. Thanks a lot in advance. M.L.
