Following a switch to nginx, the wiki began having a problem with page titles. Page titles containing "?" do not seem to "work" under nginx. Example: http://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/User:AngelinaBelle/TestWithQuestionMark%3F Does not work. Though the URL in the browser is correct, the wiki reports that I have landed atwgPageName="User:AngelinaBelle/TestWithQuestionMark", wgTitle="AngelinaBelle/TestWithQuestionMark", where I get the usual message that the page does not exist, and an offer to edit the page at http://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/index.php?title=User:AngelinaBelle/TestWithQuestionMark&action=edit -- When I use the "longer" form of the page title, there are no problems: http://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/index.php?title=User:AngelinaBelle/TestWithQuestionMark%3F MediaWiki 1.16.5 PHP 5.3.4 (apache2handler) MySQL 5.1.33-community-log
This is most likely an issue with your rewrite rules.
Webserver rewrite rules?
(In reply to comment #2) > Webserver rewrite rules? Yes, rewrite rules in your nginx config.
The NGINX wiki's own MW install works fine with question marks: http://wiki.nginx.org/MediaWiki%3F The issue here is with your configuration of nginx I can help you configure nginx correctly but bugzilla isn't the place for that. This isn't a bug.
Thanks, Roan and Daniel. I will check with the site team.
