See http://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Jeff_G.&action=edit&section=0 for an example. Does not happen when editing the whole page.

IP address in the message is 208.80.154.54 (which is owned by Wikimedia).

Presumably that address needs to be added to $wgSquidServersNoPurge (?) (Also mobile server probably shouldn't be allowing edits in the first place I imagine...)

Yup

Both cp1044 and cp1043 are being used for mobile testing

Excuse me, but I need to be able to edit via mobile devices.

I mean that editing (on a mobile device) should force the user to go through the normal en.wikipedia.org site, since the mobile frontend doesn't do anything to the edit page to make it more user friendly (at least as far as i know). (otoh, there could be good reasons for doing it the way it does it currently. I'm not involved with mobile stuff at all and don't know much about it).
