This error occurs by pressing the Save (Submit) button:

Fatal error: Class 'SMWCompatibilityHelpers' not found in /var/www-ssl/wiki/extensions/SemanticMediaWiki/includes/storage/SMW_SQLStore2.php on line 841

What version of SMW? This is definitely not occurring for me or other people with the latest release...

SMW version is 1.6.1 and MediaWiki version is 1.17.0

Are you using SMWLight?

Make sure you have all files.

This very likely is an issue specific to your install, so I'm marking this resolved.
