The mailing-list for the German Wikibooks project is almost never used and I believe no serious e-mails were send in over a year. Mostly/exclusively spam is send via the list (only to me as I am the admin), but I cannot delete it as I lost the password for the administrative interface. Greetings, According to Casey Brown, who handles many of the mailing list issues around here: There's no way to "close" a mailman list. Instead, I would suggest that you unsubscribe everyone from the mailing list, make it so that new people can't subscribe, hide the list from the list of lists page, and add a note to the "list description" in all [appropriate languages] that says the list is closed (and pointing them to the other MediaWiki lists).
