The Chinese Wiktionary would like to use the StringFunctions extension. The community consensus is here: http://zh.wiktionary.org/wiki/Wiktionary:%E5%95%A4%E9%85%92%E9%A6%86#.E5.BB.BA.E8.AE.AE.E5.9C.A8.E4.B8.AD.E6.96.87.E7.BB.B4.E5.9F.BA.E8.AF.8D.E5.85.B8.E5.85.81.E8.AE.B8StringFunctions.E7.9A.84.E4.BD.BF.E7.94.A8 (usually not many people there). This extension would greatly reduce the amount of work needed in creating new articles, since many the transliteration and pronunciation templates in use depend on the use of individual letters as parameters of the template. This extension is already enabled at Vietnamese Wiktionary (bugzilla:8886) and it's saved them a lot of work with the Vietnamese pronunciation templates. Thanks in advance,
Extension is unreviewed and currently not deployed anywhere. It's not even on the vietnamese wiktionary, see http://vi.wiktionary.org/wiki/%C4%90%E1%BA%B7c_bi%E1%BB%87t:Phi%C3%AAn_b%E1%BA%A3n bug 8886 is about DynamicPageList, not StringFunctions, the second to last comment is a joke
Never mind, no longer needed. Thanks.
Wontfix per the above
