It would be nice if when posting in LQT there was a way to "mention" (can't think of a nicer name for this) other users so that they can be notified about the discussion.

eg: 
<post about something>
(reply): I think @^demon; fixed this...etc etc...

which would result in a notification in their "My Messages" section.

This now exists with Echo (whenever bug 56311 is fixed), should this be WONTFIXED?
