Description Tomer A. 2011-10-13 13:50:15 UTC
The readme file included with the extension declares that:
"This extension is currently experimental and almost certainly won't work for you (yet).

We anticipate having a working version in late October / early November 2010.

Contact Neil Kandalgaonkar <neilk@wikimedia.org> for more info."

While it is correct in saying that it's not working for me November 2010 has been long gone. It also conflicts with the statement on [[mw:Extension:UploadWizard]] saying that this is a stable extension that can be used with a high traffic wikis.
Comment 1 Tomer A. 2011-10-13 13:56:45 UTC
I've just noticed that this only applies for the 1.17.x snapshot.
Comment 2 Brion Vibber 2011-10-13 16:23:56 UTC
AFAIK the 1.17.x snapshot in fact isn't stable and shouldn't be expected to work reliably.

No idea whether the actual current versions work on a stock 1.17 or not.
Comment 3 Tomer A. 2011-10-13 18:27:13 UTC
So we probably shouldn't let people download it from mw:Extension:UploadWizard

I think that is a separate bug since we generally make a snapshot of the subversion tree when we branch a release. How this is handled is likely to change in the coming months.

Further the README in SVN has no mention of November 2010.
