As with all other block targets, Special:Blocklist used to provide a link to Special:Contributions for IP ranges. While often this would not return any actual contributions (and wouldn't at all without the javascript thingie turned on), this link could still be used to access the Checkuser form for that range or the "change block settings" link. Now these functions are a bit less accessible, as the target range is displayed in plain text which must be copied and placed into a form manually. While I'm sure most users aren't too concerned, this is a bit of an impediment to me as a checkuser, as I deal with rangeblocks frequently when reviewing unblock and account requests.
Special:Contributions can't show results for ranges, so it wouldn't make any sense to link to it. Sounds like the interface that you're getting to contribs *from* is missing tools?

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying... I know these links used to exist on Special:Blocklist, because I used them all the time. Contribs didn't show any results, of course, but the main purpose in me going there was to click on the "check user IP addresses" link at the top of the page. If you'd rather not link this to Contributions, would it be possible to add a link to the Checkuser form only visible to those with access to Checkuser? This could apply to just ranges or any block target.
There is a gadget to show contributions per range on the English Wikipedia, do you mean that one ? * Allow /16 and /24 – /32 CIDR ranges on Special:Contributions forms (uses API), as well as wildcard prefix searches, e.g., "Splark*". (Please report any issues here.) In that case the link was probably also a local modification on the english wikipedia. I'm not familiar with the functionality you are describing, perhaps other en.wp admins can be of help.

Regardless, it is so difficult to have the block list link to the contributions page for the blockee, even if the blockee isn't a single IP address or registered user?
Splarka's script (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Splarka/contribsrange.js) could possible add those links to Special:BlockList if needed.
