Description Juan de Vojníkov 2011-10-27 07:32:40 UTC
There is no simple server, where we can easily upload (like on Commons) supportative files. This can be e.g. KML files being used on cs.wp to collect data of non photographed places. But there might be other needs of Wikimedians and Outreach people to drop othe files. E.g. Wikiversians has data in several different formats which are not allowed at Commons.
Comment 1 Mark A. Hershberger 2011-10-27 15:01:30 UTC
If Commons supported those additional file types, would that be sufficient? If so, what sort of file types would Commons need to support?
Comment 2 Juan de Vojníkov 2011-10-27 20:53:39 UTC
Actionally we are missing the posibility to have KML files on-line somewhere. Let me ask other people what kind of files they need.
Comment 3 Nemo 2012-08-23 09:04:40 UTC
A separate server is not going to happen.
File a bug for each format needed.
