Extension Distributor at https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Special:ExtensionDistributor goes down sometimes, and there is no status page to point people to so they can check to see whether we know already, when it's back up, etc.  Should we just add a status note to http://wikitech.wikimedia.org/view/ExtensionDistributor or can there be a slightly fancier dedicated page/widget somewhere?

It shouldn't break anymore, except once a day at 03:00 UTC when the cron job runs. If someone complains at 03:00 that it's broken, you can tell them to try again in half an hour.
