Description Lejonel 2011-11-20 12:49:01 UTC
[[Commons:File:La playAaAa.png]] is an image that somehow does not have a description page. So [[MediaWiki:Missing-article]] is displayed. I think this message is intended to be displayed in the user preference language. But it seems that the message is cached somewhere using the language of the first user who looked at the image. Currently it is Swedish (my preferred language) since I did a purge. I can also change the language by purging with the uselang parameter, for example to French:

http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:La_playAaAa.png?uselang=fr&action=purge

But if I look at the image again without uselang the message is still French even when logged out and in another web browser. The rest of the interface uses the correct language (Swedish when I am logged in, and English when logged out).

I have moved that bug to MediaWiki > i18n. Not sure how all that i18n stuff works though.

I guess it's a stuck page in squid cache with parser cache key not considering ui lang. The parser guys are a better bet for figuring this out.
