Created attachment 9531 [details] GPS height prefillLocation catches a wrong GPS height ouf of EXIF. Testcase: All images from https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Videoguides_im_Rautenstrauch-Joest-Museum The EXIF data were written with GeoSetter 3.4.16/ExifTool 8.71.
See the altitude of "55/1" in the screenshot. 55 is correct but where does the /1 comes from?
Is this same as bug 32410?
(In reply to comment #2) > Is this same as bug 32410? Hmmm looks very similar. But in my examples the latitude is exactly 55.0 m. Where does the "/1" comes from?
Raimond: it's a rational, just a fraction, same as what you learned in grade school. 55/1 = 55. Your camera is actually supplying similar values for latitude and longitude, but MediaWiki does the right thing in those cases. It's totally the same bug, IMO. Unless you want to temporarily turn off altitude in UW until bug #32410 is fixed.
Neil: Thanks for the explaining. Marking as dupe now. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 32410 ***
