Description Carolina Feher da Silva 2011-12-03 16:52:29 UTC
I tried to make a donation to Wikipedia today and after I entered my credit card information, I was redirected to a page that said only "<globalcollectgatewayresult>" at the address https://payments.wikimedia.org/index.php/Special:GlobalCollectGatewayResult?order_id=6622842374&REF=000000657066228423740000100001&RETURNMAC=Qqw0JZJOj6URX1aUs74vyQVsS7TRosVUzNt5GAV9thI%3D&AVSRESULT=U&CVVRESULT=M&EXTERNALREFERENCE=6622842374

I don't know if I succeeded at making a donation. I didn't get any emails from WikiMedia.

Thank you so much for reporting this!
Comment 2 Katie Horn 2011-12-06 18:31:13 UTC
This seems to have been happening to about 6% of our GlobalCollect donors upon return to the payments cluster from the GlobalCollect iFrame. This was solved by adding an additional value in the session to indicate that we already popped out of the iFrame, rather than relying on the referer header to tell us if the user was coming to the results page from an external source or not.
