Description Ryan Lane 2011-12-06 00:34:20 UTC
All instance types, except for tiny, have a second partition (/dev/vdb) that has a larger amount of space. By default this partition is unformatted. It would be ideal for this to be mounted on instance creation.
Comment 1 Ryan Lane 2011-12-06 00:36:59 UTC
Ah, the OSM part of this...

OSM should have an option in the instance creation interface that will let users choose which mount point and filesystem will be used.
Comment 2 Ryan Lane 2011-12-22 02:28:31 UTC
Seems openstack now does a mkfs and mounts the partition automatically. Unfortunately no choice of filesystem is allowed, and the mountpoint is /mnt. This isn't configurable in this version of openstack. Closing this bug as wontfix. We should tackle this on the openstack side.
