Description Fabrice Florin 2011-12-13 04:29:09 UTC
After you click on the question mark on any feedback form, then click on the 'Learn more >>' text link in the help tool tip, you are now taken to the new tutorial.

Instead, you should be taken to this help page, as we used to in the earlier version:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Article_Feedback_Tool/Version_5/Help

Please note that this behavior is different than on the new CTA2 (for protected pages), where the blue 'Learn more' button should take you to the new tutorial, as requested in a separate ticket:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Article_Feedback_Tool/Tutorial

Perhaps this is what may have caused some confusion here, as we have different links for the same 'Learn more' wording, but one is for the Help tool tip, and the other one is for a separate CTA2 button.

Changed priority to blocker. With the vertical tab, we need this to go to the right page so that existing editors know how to disable. This is currently the only way for editors to get this info.

what about the link in CTA 1 (the one with edit option) ?
currently it shares the same link as CTA 2 (the new one) button.
Comment 3 Fabrice Florin 2011-12-13 22:11:16 UTC
My understanding was that we were going to disable the help icon from both CTAs, so that last question appears moot.

However, if we were to keep the help icon in both CTAs, they would both open the 'What's this' tooltip, and they would both link to the same help page, from the 'Learn more' text link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Article_Feedback_Tool/Version_5/Help

Again, to be very clear, these are different links than the big blue buttons on the CTA forms:
* CTA1 'Edit this Page' button goes to edit page
* CTA2 'Learn more' button goes to the tutorial:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Article_Feedback_Tool/Tutorial

Does this work for you?

Fabrice i am still unclear about the "Learn how to edit >>" link in the _old_ CTA.
Comment 5 Yoni Shostak 2011-12-14 16:41:53 UTC
Fixed. Please note it may take quite a few "clear caches" for the change to catch.
Comment 6 Fabrice Florin 2011-12-14 16:57:44 UTC
Thanks, Yoni.

I cleared my cache 3 times, and 'Learn more' in the help tooltip is still going to the wrong tutorial link, instead of the help page.

How can we verify that this fix has been done? Do we have to wait until the next push?

To answer your question above about the OTHER CTA1 ('Edit this page'), the 'Learn how to edit' text link should go to this tutorial page:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Article_Feedback_Tool/Tutorial

Hope this helps.
