There are some diff views which are not permanent (e.g. diff=cur will always show the diff of the last edit). In that case I would expect the "permanent link" option in the left-side menu to be a diff link; instead, it is a link to an old version of the page. There are already permalinks to the old and new version on the top of the diff page, but there is no convenient version to get a permanent link to the diff itself.
