Takes about 6-7 seconds after clicking to disable wikitext view for the page to become responsive again and the markup to hide.

Retitling, all the other views are similarly slow to respond.

I narrowed this down to es.ContentView.fitWords, and specifically where we are using .clientWidth on the ruler.

I don't really understand why this is so fast (between 0 and 2ms for me) sometimes and so slow (between 20 and 50ms for me) when switching from having the panels open to closed.

Anyone who can help profile this - I would really appreciate the help. I'm stumped at the moment.

Refers to previous version of codebase; does not appear to be valid for Visual Editor as-is.
