Description Brion Vibber 2011-12-14 01:03:25 UTC
When scrolling the viewport down in Android browser, the toolbar seems to pop to the top of the page instead of following the viewport.

Tested on Nexus 1, Android 2.3.6.

Isn't this the same as bug #33066?
Comment 2 James Forrester 2012-06-22 17:36:23 UTC
Confirmed that the issue remains for new VE.
Comment 3 James Forrester 2012-06-22 22:05:42 UTC
Mass-moving items into VisualEditor product
Comment 4 James Forrester 2012-06-23 01:37:35 UTC
Mass-move out of "General" to "User Interface".
Comment 5 Christian Williams 2012-06-29 21:40:11 UTC
This is probably best defined as an enhancement. I don't think we're going to use the same type of toolbar for mobile.
Comment 6 Brion Vibber 2012-07-02 22:45:39 UTC
This actually works as expected on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 running Android 3.2.

It's not quite right on a smaller screen (Galaxy Nexus running 4.0.4) but will probably be righter in a more mobile-friendly skin view.

Doesn't follow on an Android 2.x tablet (Amazon Kindle Fire) -- it seems to pop to the top of the screen and then never follow along in position-fixed fashion.

I'm changing the summary to specifically be about Android 2; it looks like the following basically works on 3/4.
Comment 7 James Forrester 2012-07-02 22:48:30 UTC
If it's Android 2.* we'll have to WONTFIX; ContentEditable is not supported by Android's native browser before Android 3.0+ (inc. 4.0), so VisualEditor will never be able to support it...
Comment 8 Brion Vibber 2012-07-02 22:56:56 UTC
woot! Resolving WONTFIX.
Comment 9 Brion Vibber 2012-07-02 23:12:43 UTC
Incidentally, Firefox nightly build works great on my Kindle Fire. ;)
