When I have visual editor mode and wiki text mode panes opened in parallel, I'd like to be able to edit both ways, in the visual editor window (pane) and in the wiki text pane.

No longer applies post-prototype; we've abandoned side-by-side editing.

Mass-moving old VisualEditor tickets to the VE product. Search for this message to mass-delete bugmail.

Fwiw, this functionality is now being tracked in the new VE as bug 47779.

As explained in bug 47779 comment 13, this is not the case.
