Description Ben Hartshorne 2011-12-16 23:18:52 UTC
If the container wikipedia-fr-thumb doesnt't exist in swift, requests for thumbnails for fr.wikipedia will fail with 401. Instead it should create the container and store the thumbnail.

I'm assuming this won't be a problem until we create a new wiki that accepts uploads, and then we might have a problem. Is that when the problem could strike?
Comment 2 Ben Hartshorne 2012-02-29 20:43:56 UTC
yes. in fact, between the date when I made the original containers and when swift went into production, four new projects were started.

I think Aaron has a better solution than to make the swift rewrite do it though, so this bug might be WONTFIX or DUPE.

Yeah, when swift works directly with the scalars, I think this will be a non-issue.
