looks like I need to update the comment parser for bugzilla to handle protocol relative URLs.
Comment 3 Siebrand Mazeland 2012-01-16 15:47:06 UTC
Hmm. I see the issue. Once it's activated, and you have the "blue backgroup", how does one know how to disable it again?

I think that's indeed a higher than normal issue that might drive one crazy. We'll give this some thought, and try to come up with a solution.

Adding Neil, Krinkle and Ryan to see if we can get some UI help on how would be best to indicate this in the UI

For wikis which are multilingual(like commons, meta etc) apart from list of interface languages for which Narayam has to load, have a list of langauges where Narayam must enable on load? Indic might be loaded and enabled by default, other languages might only be loaded, but not enabled on multilingual wikis? I think this too might get solved when we have a better UI, since we need not make it default if the person is able to locate and identify the tool easily.

I think addressing this in the ongoing ULS is the right thing rather than finding a better design in the current system. ( http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Universal_Language_Selector/Specification ). Adding Pau and Arun in cc so that they can take care of this while designing UI.
Comment 7 Amir E. Aharoni 2013-03-12 08:47:02 UTC
WONTFIX, for several reasons:

1. Narayam is not enabled by default in Wikimedia projects, so it's very unlikely to hit a lot of users forcefully.
2. Narayam is in maintenance mode. Serious functionality changes, in particular UI design changes, are going to be done in UniversalLanguageSelector and jquery.ime.
