Information:
The selected language in my preferences is de.

When attempting to upload through https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/w/index.php?title=Special:UploadWizard&uselang=de

I get http://i43.tinypic.com/9tzksi.png this result with an unresolved MediaWiki-Message: mwe-upwiz-deeds-macro-prompt: unknown operation "sitename"

This *does not occur* for https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/w/index.php?title=Special:UploadWizard&uselang=en or https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/w/index.php?title=Special:UploadWizard&uselang=en

Fixing on translatewiki (https://translatewiki.net/w/i.php?title=MediaWiki:Mwe-upwiz-deeds-macro-prompt/de). Please recommit from tw. Thank you.

This is sad. I thought this should work now.

I'd rather fix it so the library did the right thing, rather than fixing the messages. I hope that will be acceptable.

Don't know if the underlying bug is solved but the translation is changed not to use variables.
