Description Liangent 2011-12-23 05:09:10 UTC
Brion built an apk <http://leuksman.com/misc/WikipediaActivity-debug.apk> and I installed that. When I'm trying to upgrade it to RC3, upgrading doesn't work and it says "application not installed". I have to remove the existing one then install the new one.

That's the expected behavior as Brion signed the app with a different key then our official app. An android device wont update an application if it has the same info but a different key. It's a security precaution.

What we have to do is to always sign our non production builds with a consistent key. We have a bug open for that

https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=33133 . We'll also learn what we have to change in separate builds of the app so that we can have the nightly and production side by side.
